Kathmandu. Scientists at Brazil’s Federal University of Rio de Janeiro have developed an experimental drug called polylaminin for patients with spinal cord paralysis. This has been shown to help the nerves that have been torn due to the injury to reconnect or regrow. <\/p>\n

This requires skilled neurosurgeons and state-of-the-art hospitals. <\/p>\n Accessibility and Cost: <\/span> This technology can be expensive and will take time to reach patients in poor and rural areas. <\/p>\n Although it has been touted on social media as the “perfect antidote to tuberculosis”, scientists consider it an “experimental breakthrough”.
