Under its health insurance system, people from poor families and senior citizens aged 75 and over receiving social pension benefits will be paid for the full cost of medical check-up and treatment. It has come into effect from January 1. <\/p>\n<p>According to Vietnam&#8217;s Health Ministry, the move follows a resolution passed by the National Assembly on December 11. The expanded coverage aims to improve access to healthcare and reduce the financial burden on vulnerable groups. <\/p>\n<p>Pursuant to this proposal, the Ministry of Health issued an urgent notice on January 6 to the Vietnam Social Security under the Ministry of Finance, as well as the state and municipal health departments and medical facilities across the country.
