Kathmandu. The 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IGI Prudential Insurance Limited has been concluded. The meeting was held at Amrapali Banquet, Bhatbhateni and Naxal in Kathmandu. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the AGM, the company’s Chairman Hemraj Dhakal said that the insurance company has been playing an important role as a safety net against the economic crisis arising out of natural and man-made risks, protecting the life, property, business and liabilities of the people. <\/p>\n
The company has successfully completed 28 years of its establishment with the objective of maintaining stability, enhancing credibility and expanding its scope and impact and has always been committed to its obligations to protect the rights and interests of the insured by making the insurance market clean, transparent and reliable. <\/p>\n
The shareholders of the company have unanimously approved the proposal of providing 5% cash dividend to its shareholders during the review year. Likewise, the meeting also approved the construction of an 11-storey building with a 2-storey parking lot in around 60,000 square feet on the company’s 2 ropani 6 ana 2 paisa 3 daam land at Panipokhari and handed over to the company from the contractor company and the company’s head office will be shifted from Narayanchaur, Naxal to its own building at Panipokhari by January 2082. <\/p>\n
During the Genji agitation of September 23 and 24 of the current fiscal year, claims worth about Rs 23.44 billion have been received in the non-life insurance sector, while claims worth about Rs 4 billion have been made due to incessant rains, floods and landslides since October 3. However, the policy initiatives being taken by the government, the gradual improvement seen in the economic indicators and the positive signs seen in the stock market are expected to gradually strengthen the overall economic activity, which will also have a positive impact on the business environment in the long run. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Dhakal said that in the current context of intense economic competition in the global market, it has become imperative to provide fast, secure and effective service through the medium of information technology and the company has been emphasizing on technology-friendly service and aims to make it more digital, simple and customer-friendly in the current fiscal year. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the company Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha welcomed all the shareholders in the 28th AGM and said that the company has been providing services to its customers through its 531 employees, 430 agents and 192 surveyors through its 90 branches in all seven provinces of the country Given<\/p>\n
