Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Cyprus-based SmartPay to make remittance from abroad easier, simpler and more reliable. Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has collaborated with Smartpay to initiate a remittance service in Nepal with an aim to ease remittance to Nepalese from Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and all European countries. <\/p>\n
The agreement was signed between Mr. Stephanie Isabel Heraklios, Chief Operating Officer of Smart Pay and Mr. Prasidad Raj Aryal, Deputy CEO of Machhapuchchhre Bank. <\/p>\n
According to the agreement, Nepalese residing in EU will be able to receive the remittance through MBL REMIT through Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and other European European countries through its 165 branches, branchless banking service, 11 extension counters and more than 20,000 remittance agents across Nepal. <\/p>\n
In addition, the remittances sent through Smart Pay and MBL REMIT will be instantly credited to the account of any bank in Nepal. Machhapuchchhre Bank has been providing its services from east to west, mountain to hilly and terai with a network of 165 branches, branchless banking service from 88 and 11 extension counters and 199 ATMs to more than 18 lakh customers. <\/p>\n
