The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has got a new chairman after a vacancy of five months. <\/p>\n<p>According to a report in The Economic Times, the Government of India has approved a three-year term from a decision dated July 25, 2025, or until he turns 65. <\/p>\n<p>The post of chairman had been lying vacant for five months after the compulsory retirement of Debasish Panda on March 13. <\/p>\n<p>The newly appointed chairman is a former secretary at the Department of Economic Affairs.
