A bank in neighbouring India has issued a directive for its customers. &#8220;If you do not maintain a monthly balance of at least Rs 10,000 in your account, you will be fined heavily. The penalty could be up to 6 per cent of the balance or a maximum of Rs 500. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The directive has been issued by The Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) India. According to the DBS India website, from August 1, the average monthly non-maintained fee will be 6 per cent of the balance. The maximum limit of which will be Rs 500. <\/p>\n<p>The average monthly balance for DBS India&#8217;s savings account is Rs 10,000. This bank has sent information to its customers through SMS. <\/p>\n<p>DBS India said on its website, &#8220;From August 1, the non-maintenance charges will change depending on the type of your savings account.
