Guterres said, “The risk of this conflict going out of control is increasing rapidly. It can have a devastating effect not only on ordinary citizens but on the entire region and the whole world. I appeal to all member states to de-escalate tensions and fulfill their responsibilities under the UN Charter and other rules of international law. \u2019<\/p>\n
The UN said it was very important to avoid chaos at this very sensitive time. “There is no military solution to this crisis,” the UN said, adding that “diplomacy is the only way forward and peace is the only hope”. \u2019<\/p>\n
