The UNITED States has begun reviewing submarine agreements with Britain and Australia. The US has decided that this security agreement should be in accordance with its &#8216;America First&#8217; agenda. <\/p>\n<p>The trilateral agreement is seen as a response to China&#8217;s growing power. Australia will get its first nuclear-powered submarine from the UNITED States. <\/p>\n<p>Australia and the UK reviewed themselves last year. Both countries considered the US investigation as normal and said it was natural for the new administration to re-evaluate the deal. <\/p>\n<p>The move comes at a time when the US is pushing Australia to increase its military spending from 2 per cent of GDP to 3.5 per cent. So far, Australia has opposed it. <\/p>\n<p>The deal was signed in 2021 at a cost of about \u00a3176 billion.
