Kathmandu. India has officially overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth largest economy. <\/p>\n
Niti Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said this at a press conference. India has achieved this because of its economic policy. <\/p>\n
“We are the fourth largest economy,” Subramanian said, quoting data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). We are a $4 trillion economy. Today, India is bigger than Japan. Now only America, China and Germany are bigger than India. \u2019<\/p>\n
Niti Aayog CEO Subrahmanyam also claimed that India will become the world’s third largest economy in the next 2.5-3 years if it sticks to its plans and ideas. <\/p>\n
According to the IMF’s World Economic Outlook report for April 2025, India’s GDP is estimated to reach 44.187 trillion. That’s slightly higher than Japan’s estimated GDP of $44.186 trillion. <\/p>\n
