Elon Musk&#8217;s Tesla has banned new orders for electric cars in China. <\/p>\n<p>Tesla has banned new orders for the Model S and Model X in China. Tesla cars were supplied to China through the Chinese website WeChat Mini Program. <\/p>\n<p>After Tesla&#8217;s ban, orders for these two models of cars have now been removed from the Chinese website. President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs have triggered a trade war between the two major economies. <\/p>\n<p>Both these models of Tesla were manufactured in the US and exported to China. Now both these models have been removed from the Chinese website. <\/p>\n<p>Tesla has not yet made public its official position on the ban on electric car exports to China. The company did not disclose the reason for taking this step. <\/p>\n<p>After Trump raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 145 per cent, China also imposed a 125 per cent tariff on goods coming from the US.
