Kathmandu. On Sunday, the first trading day of the week, the stock market fell by double digits. The NEPSE index decreased by 21.48 points to close at 2,609.69 points.
All the 13 sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group posted a double-digit fall today. The hydropower group fell the most by 1.22 percent on the day.
The share prices of 46 companies increased while the shares of 204 companies declined. On this day, the share prices of 8 companies are stable.
The market was traded worth more than Rs 5.33 billion today. Sagar Distillery had the highest turnover of Rs 43.69 crore. Ngadi Group Power Company Ltd was the second highest turnover with Rs 32.52 crore followed by Bandipur Cable Car Ltd (Rs 15.48 crore).

On this day, 3 companies have given high returns to the investors in the market. Swastik Laghubitta, Srinagar Agritech and Jhapa Energy were among the top performing companies today. Shares of Swastik Laghubitta and Srinagar Agritech surged by 10 percent and Jhapa Energy by nearly 10 percent.

Shareholders of Bangul Hydro Company suffered the most loss today. The company’s share price fell 8.5 percent.
