Kathmandu. Rasuwa: Eighteen people, including six Chinese nationals, have lost contact in Rasuwa due to flooding in bhotekoshi river due to incessant rains. Nine people trapped in the flood have been rescued.
According to the District Police Office, Rasuwa, the flood in bhotekoshi river due to heavy rainfall in the Chinese region has caused huge physical damage in Rasuwagadhi of Gosaikunda-2. Three police personnel, nine Nepalis and six Chinese nationals have lost contact due to the floods.
The flood damaged the EV charging station and washed away 7-8 EV vehicles.
The flood has washed away one of the gates of the dam at the 111 MW Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project. The bridge of this project has also been damaged.
Similarly, the building of the 60 MW Trishuli 3A project has been flooded. The power generation of both these projects has been stopped.
The Miteri bridge connecting Nepal and China has been completely damaged due to floods. Movement of people and vehicles has come to a halt.
