Kathmandu. Rasuwa: The Nepal Insurance Authority (INSURANCE) has made public the latest details of the insurance claim for the damage caused by the devastating floods and landslides in Rasuwa in the last week of June.
According to the NRA, according to the details received from 11 non-life insurers till July 15, compensation of Rs 843.81 million has been sought in a total of 68 insurance claims.
According to the data, Himalayan Everest Insurance has the highest claim of Rs 550 million. These are two insurance claims.
Similarly, Shikhar Insurance has sought compensation of Rs 168.5 million for 12 claims. Neco Insurance has received claims worth Rs 51.2 million, Sagarmatha Lumbini Rs 34.15 million and Nepal Insurance Rs 12.85 million.
Similarly, Nepal Insurance has insurance claims worth Rs 1.28 million. This is of 12 claims.
So far, most of the claims have been made towards property insurance. In property insurance, the insurers have to pay a compensation of Rs 580.1 million for six claims.
Similarly, rs 162.1 million has been claimed for marine insurance, Rs 54 million for engineering and contractor risk, Rs 25.9 million for motor insurance (public) and Rs 21.4 million for motor insurance (private).
